Do You Ever Have Enough Photos of Your Dog?

A lot of the work I do as a photographer is for businesses who need photographs for their website, newsletter or marketing campaigns. And then, of course, there’s the private clients here in Stockholm who want family events covered.

I also take a lot of photographs of dogs, many of which I sell on stock photography sites.

WHY SO MANY PHOTOS OF DOGS?

Even more than photography, dogs are my passion. They’re my family!

As you might guess, the name of my company “Moondog Marketing & Media” was inspired by the basset hounds that sleep under my desk!

A PHOTO OF A DOG IS A PHOTO OF A MUCH-LOVED FAMILY MEMBER

My office walls are covered with photos of my dogs both past and present! The photos of Bernard, Aggie, and Winnie, who are no longer with me, have a very special place in my heart. Not a day goes by when I don’t glance at their photographs. I can remember taking each of those pictures. And, yes, I do remember.

As a photographer and dog owner (or as we say, you never own a basset; they own you!), I’m acutely aware how important it is to have photos of my dogs.

There are never enough. I always try and take more !

If you are a dog (or cat!) love, I urge you to make sure you have plenty of high quality photos of your fur babies. Don’t keep them on your phone or Instagram. Get them printed and up on the wall.

There’s something wonderful about the tactile pleasure of holding a photograph in your hand.

I’M HERE TO HELP

If you’re not getting the kind of photos of your dog that you want, and would like some help, why not ask me to help. I’m not just a photographer: I’m very experienced with dogs – I have bred four litters – and I’m even a qualified dog trainer (from Hundens Hus in Stockholm). I know how to work around dogs.

I don’t do studio portraits, but I will come and take natural light photos of your dog doing what it enjoys most. It doesn’t matter whether that’s running in the woods or snoozing on the couch. I’m not scared of getting dirty or wet or drooled on. As long as I get the right shot!

If you need help, please contact me. I would love to come and photograph your dog!
